Jardine Noonday Gun
Nestled on a small patch of green next to the boat docks on the edge of Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter is the Jardine Noonday Gun, a former vestige of navel artillery from the city’s colonial past. An iconic landmark, it has been a part of a steadfast timekeeping tradition in the city since the 1860s, firing off every day at noon. Time your visit right and catch the Noonday Gun Salute with uniformed guards that perform the time-honoured ritual from 12 to 12:30pm every day, come rain or shine.
From the main entrance of The Park Lane, turn left to walk down Gloucester Road towards the end of the street before turning left again. Walk towards World Trade Centre and head down the stairs towards the basement and into the pedestrian tunnel. Approx. eight mins.
